Tyler Russell is the Director of Technology and Business Regulation at Continental Strategy, where he leverages his extensive expertise in government operations and strategic leadership to drive impactful initiatives.

Prior to his current role, Tyler served as the Chief of Staff at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, overseeing the daily operations of the state’s professional licensing and regulatory agency. With a budget exceeding $200 million annually and a workforce of 1,600 employees statewide, Tyler skillfully managed complex challenges with efficiency, earning accolades for his exceptional management skills.

Tyler’s service in the DeSantis Administration is marked by distinguished leadership roles within various state agencies along with two years working in the Executive Office of the Governor. As the Chief of Staff at Enterprise Florida, Inc., he orchestrated operations for the state’s economic development agency, as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Florida Department of Management Service, he managed critical divisions and policies affecting all of Florida’s state government, and as Deputy Legislative Affairs Director in the Executive Office of the Governor he assisted in accomplishing all of Governor DeSantis’ campaign promises and other key initiatives.

A versatile professional with a wealth of experience across both public and private sectors, Tyler served as a Senior Consultant at Coastal Cloud, a Florida-based IT Consulting Firm, where he played a pivotal role in the technological landscape of the public sector. Collaborating with government organizations, he spearheaded the implementation of innovative technology solutions, enhancing services for individuals, communities, and businesses alike.

Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University and currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida with his wife Katy, son Harris, and dogs, Walker and Polly.
